Well I’ve been palying world of warcraft for many years now and after I finished my DK and I also finished my Pali. I was getting a bit tired of WoW and thought I would install my pre-order copy of warhammer and give it a shot. 
I haven’t played warhammer since beta and many of our customers have switch over to warhammer all saying the PvP content is much better.
Being a huge PvP gamer myself I figured now is the time if any to check out warhammer online. They have a couple new classes and free xpac content upgrade coming out in the next week and so now is a good time if any.
I decided to /roll on Dark Crag one of the most popular servers and has some of the best guilds in warhammer online. I’m also playing on destruction side and I started out as a Squig Herder and leveled the toon to 7. What’s so cool about warhammer is that you can at level 1 go straight into pvp!
They have this buff that makes your character equal to a minimum level. So in Tier 1 PvP you are level 8 minimum! So it gives you a real fighting chance even though your gear sucks but at least you can’t be 1 shotted. Still there are up to level 11 guys you have to fight and if they are in pimped out gear, they can really be a pain to kill. The good news is, you level so fast in PvP YES Level! I was making 5-6k a match “win” that only took 4-10 minutes and leveled faster in PvP starting out.
After I reached level 7 with my Squig, I decided to try out a shaman and see how the healing is in the game. The really cool thing is there is no MANA!! Warhammer has a mix of AP & Special Skills Points, so your normal attacks use AP, while some classes build rage, hate, etc… to use other skills. Also the targeting system is a tad different and took me a bit to figure out.
You have (2) targets in warhammer one is your offensive and other is your defensive and playing a healer noob, took me a few minutes to figure this all out. Also a lot of your spells also talk about bonuses to your defensive target. So it’s a little more work then wow is when it comes to targets but really cool because you can DPS & heal without having to change targets, kind of like using focus macros without the macros.
After I hit level 8 with my shaman, I switched over to a tank class “Blackguard” and played around with that class till level 7. All of this leveling was pretty much last week and I’ve been browsing the warhammer forums, etc… searching for a Hybrid DPS/Healer class. Even though the shaman has some cool dps spells, he wasn’t my style of play and I really thirst for the blood lust that a Pali and DK has. I finally found the class I’ve been searching for “Disciple of Khaine” DoK and started to play that toon.
I’ve since leveled her up to level 15 and having a ton of fun! The class is a DW melee front lines healer and you have to DPS to build up your special skill points to heal. The class is super easy to level as there is no down time. And PvP is a blast but since you are in the think of things and a healer, you are a prime target. So I’ve been stacking Wounds (HP) & Str to DPS down people while I heal the tanks next to me. A really fun class and with my Pali/DK experience not a hard switch.
