Normally you’ll get the login/pass the same day and within a few hours. Sometimes we are offline and so it could be a 24 hour wait.

    Hey,

I noticed that its “required” to post Photo ID, is there any way around this? I really want to sell my account, get back some of the cash i’ve spent playing on retail, except my mum isn’t ok with me giving out my photo ID (even if i black out all the numbers and stuff you don’t need to see). So is there any way around this?

I’d be able to get around 100-130ish to my account, i don’t really care, i just want to sell it, i’m not some scam artist, i know what it feels like to be scammed because its happend to me a few times before, so is there any way to get around this?

  5. Chadon 23 Feb 2009 at 11:06 am

    Pete,

You can always speak with Jim about prices and maybe working out a discount. He’s pretty flexable with prices most of the time.

    Nick,

The reason why we require the Photo ID is that in the past, we’ve ran into issues with the account information customers have given is for the account was not accurate. Which means when the new owner gets the account they go to do a transfer to a new account and it fails.

The only way we can be 100% sure the info is accurate is if there is a photo ID and this also helps in recovering accounts, if someone attempts to steal an account for us. Account Security is very important to us and why we require a photo ID.

Photo ID has ABSOLUTELY nothing what so ever to do with account security, that is what i call fraud.

I can provide all account information, even the account page you get when the account is made, i have got a copy of it.

I can provide picture proof of the character, it logged in and what not.

As far as “Account security” goes, all of which is required to secure your account, i can provide.

  13. Chadon 25 Feb 2009 at 10:14 am

    Nick,

Photo ID is required by Blizzard for several situations and if we do not have a copy of the ID then the account is dead. Several situations that Blizzard requests a copy of a government issued ID is:

Account Compromise: You get a key logger and the account is stolen and Blizzard locks the account and requires and ID to unlock.

Account Sharing: You purchase a Powerleveling service and Blizzard suspects the account is being shared and wants to verify ownership and locks the account.

Account Ownership Verification: Someone calls up Blizzard with the SQA & First/Last name on the account and changes the email address or says their account has been hacked. Blizzard now locks the account and requires and ID to unlock it.

There are many other reasons Blizzard will require an ID to unlock an account but mainly because “Sharing, Trading, Gifting & Selling” are not allowed. By requiring a photo ID we are able to send in the ID and unlock the account when Blizzard requests it.

Now when you buy an account, as long as you don’t get a key logger or share your account with other people or companies, you will almost never run into a situation where you need an ID. But in the event that something like this does happen and Blizzard does request a copy of your ID. We would prefer to have that on file and able to help you recover the account you purchased.

  14. snowy935on 25 Feb 2009 at 11:38 am

Exactly, the ID has EVERYTHING to do with security… not nothing. You can black out your license number if it makes you feel comfortable…. but it is REQUIRED to sell an account.

  15. Nickon 26 Feb 2009 at 12:36 am

Well this is udder bullcrap in my opinion.

I’m going to email blizzard and ask if my account was locked for some unknown reason, would i need photo ID or merely all the other information i can provide, and if it comes down to all the other information, then we shall see about this…

  16. Chadon 26 Feb 2009 at 9:25 am

I’ve also had friends and customers that have had to send in a copy of their Birth certificate, Divorce & Name Change documents all because of different situations. You can have the SQA & First/Last name changed on an account, which most people do not know about but all of this requires legal documents and copy of your ID.

  17. Zedixon 26 Feb 2009 at 9:47 am

Yeah, sadly I can vouch for this too. My younger brother had his account locked after they found him playing from two many different IPs. He had to fax in photo ID as well, it was the only way to unlock the account. A Google search for ‘world of warcraft account photo id’ returns several links about this.

I can’t blame you (or your parents) for not wanting to send your photo ID via the Internet, however the business has to protect itself as well.

    can anyone talk

  22. Zedixon 28 Feb 2009 at 5:05 pm

Hey judy, this page is more of a discussion thread than a place to ask for support. Your best bet is to try AIM or send an email, those are checked a lot more frequently than the blog thread.

You’ll find all the information here: http://www.epicmmo.com/contact-us/

  23. Chadon 01 Mar 2009 at 11:20 am

    Judy,

Sorry for the slow response, I was out yesterday and if you have any questions about an account or something you wish to purchase. The fastest way to get a hold of us is via MSN/AIM or email.

As Zedix listed above is the contact info page. :D

  24. peteon 16 Apr 2009 at 2:10 pm

hey ya im getting an account tomaro most likely do u all take debit cards? and if so try to b on between 1-4 so i can get the info

  25. Chadon 16 Apr 2009 at 2:12 pm

As long as they have a Visa or Master Card logo, you shouldn’t have any issues checking out with your card.

  26. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 12:40 pm

Hello there, I am interested in selling my account but had a couple questions about the process.

Do you guys have a set limit to how much you will pay for an account?
If you feel I am asking too much for the account would you be able to provide advice about selling my account with less risk to me?

  27. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 12:47 pm

The price varies depending on the account’s gear and how many toons, etc…

What is your toon you are thinking of selling and what kind of gear does it have?

  28. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 12:49 pm

Human Paladin. Naxx 25 quality gear for every spec, Prot, Ret, Holy. Full Deadly pvp ret set, hateful pvp holy set. Murloc Costume

  29. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 12:51 pm

Also have a few geared alts.

    80 Hunter
    70 Warlock full epics
63 Gnome Rogue with some Tier 3 (No longer Attainable)
29 Twink warrior that im working on
43 rogue that is being twinked at 49.

  30. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 12:58 pm

Well your main is a pali that has all (3) Sets of T7.5 Gear and the S5 Gear?

That sounds like a pretty geared toon. As for the alts, the 80 is the only other toon really worth anything as normally anything below level 80 is just a bonus to the feature buyer.

How much are you looking to sell your account for? The main issue you have is most sites will not pay more then $300 for an account. Because the more they pay for the account the higher the retail will be and most people do not want to pay more then $500-600 for a tricked out account.

  31. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 1:08 pm

Paladin: Prot: 3/5 Valorous 1/5 Heroes(Helm) Def Capped, Over 30k HP unbuffed. Currently tanking Ulduar successfully. Holy would need the most work, although still is ulduar ready. 1/5 Val, 1/5 Heroes rest are level 80 epic holy peices. Ret is my current main spec.

    Hunter:
    http://www.mywowarmory.com/profile.php?id=106910

Yeah, I was looking to get a lot more for my account, and the years spent playing it lol. Would have thought that all the extra gear from pre-bc would have added value.

  32. peteon 17 Apr 2009 at 1:16 pm

ok ya i just bought an account it says there was an error with the billing adress

  33. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 1:34 pm

    Beau,

Yea that’s the issue, is selling to a website is like selling your car to a car dealership or used car lot. You won’t get a whole lot for it as they have to mark it up to what market value is.

As for the T3 gear, it’s been worthless since TBC as your TBC 59/60 Greens are = or better then T3. :(

I personally had a full T3 mage back in the day and when TBC was released I started to cry as the first set of quests drop gear about = to it. :(

    ===============================================

    Pete,

The error messages are normally nothing, just a last name, address or email address doesn’t match to PayPal and Epicmmo’s website account. Not a big deal and I’m sure it will process through like normal.

  34. peteon 17 Apr 2009 at 2:03 pm

do u think u could get me the account info/

  35. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 2:20 pm

    Pete,

I do not have access to the account information sorry. :(

Just here to help, where I can. :D

  36. peteon 17 Apr 2009 at 2:36 pm

well how long do u think it will b till i get it?

  37. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 2:52 pm

Would you have any advice for selling my account? I am trying to get at least $1200.00 out of it. It has every collector edition that’s come out as well. I have tried selling it but got scared because I am not sure how protected I am when I try to sell it via paypal. Last time I tried paypal, the buyer put a hold on the payments just as I was about to give him the information. After that I just canceled the whole transaction because I thought he was trying to be shady or something. Selling my account is new to me and any help/advice would be awesome. I just don’t want to get scammed or anything. Thanks in advance if you can or cant help me out. ;)

  38. peteon 17 Apr 2009 at 2:58 pm

same exept im buying an account sofar this place seams pretty trust worthy altho i highly doubt ull get that much out of it

  39. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 3:13 pm

    Beau,

See buying/selling is a really tricky game. Since you are the OO you hold most of the cards in your favor just because you can recall the account at anytime.

Now the key things are this:

#1 You are the original owner and the accounts first & last name are in your name.
#2 Your photo ID matches the first & last name to the account. If you are ever scammed or need to recall the account you can call up blizz and file a stolen account report and get the account back. But it requires a copy of your ID to be sent in and it has to match the wow account first/last name.

#3. Do you know the cd-keys that you used to setup the game? If this is the case “NEVER” give those keys out. The new buyer never needs it as they really only need to know the:

    First / Last name
    SQA
and have access to the email account.

    ==========
Now here are the issues: Most people willing to play that kind of cash for an account are scammers. 99.99% will pay you the cash then resell the account and recall their money @ some point. Forcing you to recall the account if it isn’t closed for gold farming or something else.

This is all of the crap Account Sites have to deal with and one reason why most sites have a high markup and buy accounts for very little. It’s not because they want to make a ton of cash but because fraud is so high from both buyers & sellers that we get screwed both ways. :(

And the ONLY way you will get more then $500 for your account is by selling to a private seller and again you are taking the risk of being scammed. Remeber anyone that pays you by PayPal can recall their cash up to a year later! Not by paypal but by calling their Credit Card company and saying it was an unauthorized charge.

So you can search craigs list looking for someone in your local area and meet up to exchange the info for cash or you can request that someone pay you by Western Union. But that again requires the buyer to trust you that you are not going to scam them by stealing the account back.

    So yea it’s a hard business. :D

    Good Luck.

  40. Zedixon 17 Apr 2009 at 3:14 pm

Yeah Beau, you would probably be able to get alot more off a place eBay – the tradeoff of course is that an individual is much more likely to rip you off than a company like EpicMMO. I guess it comes down to if you’re willing to risk it… you might end up being pretty lucky and selling your account succesfully on eBay for the amount you want.

Pete – I’m sure it shouldn’t take too long, Jim should be able to process your sale shortly. I see it in the system as Processing so you should get your information shortly!

  41. Chadon 17 Apr 2009 at 3:17 pm

    Pete,

I’m trying to get a hold of Jim (Snowy935). He’s the site manager and he’s been afk most of the day and he’s not answering his cell phone.

I see a few orders sitting to have the info’s sent out, so once he gets his butt online, he’ll get you the info. :D

One of the big things with Epicmmo is Account Security so only a few people actually have access to the account information. Which is a good thing but also sometimes creates a little issue when none of those people are available. ;)

  42. Beauon 17 Apr 2009 at 3:23 pm

Oh man thank you so much, that makes everything much easier on me. Gonna copy-n-paste that into notebook lol. If they use western union is there a way they can get their money back after I have given them my info?

You are an awesome dude btw. If I manage to sell my account, I will give you guys my second account. Which has the first 2 collectors edition pets, but a few lowbies. 61 UD priest, 57 twinked enh shammy. Im in the process of trying to quit wow but keep going back to it. >.<

  43. peteon 17 Apr 2009 at 3:36 pm

alright chad ty abunch man just keep spaming snowy with calls lol ty’s dude

  44. peteon 21 Apr 2009 at 6:20 pm

ya man i bought an account about a week ago im wandering if i could exchange it for a simular priced account?

  45. Shaunon 01 Aug 2009 at 1:36 pm

Hello, I’m trying to sell my Holy Paladin. His gear is mostly 25man Nax, 10man Ulduar, and 25man Ulduar, although I have 1 epic necklace from 10man Malygos quest (which is still better than most Nax items). He has the Firesoul as main hand, Voice of Reasoning as off, and Libram of the Resolute as ranged. He has 29 mounts which includes the rare Death’s Charger. I would like a quote for this guy and if you are ever on AIM, please talk when I reply. :) I really wanna sell my account so I can finally quit.

  46. Tristanon 11 Nov 2009 at 1:29 am

had a quick question for you ordered a fair bit of power levelling of FSF before, but i was wondering if you guys ever make custom wow accounts to buy i’ve seen these premade ones you have made in the past, looking for a tauren warrior, level 80 With some new gear and some old world stuff as well

Old and new gear I’m looking for:
    Level 60 gear
    • Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker- important
    • Warlord’s Plate Shoulders
    High Warlord’s Greatsword
    High Warlord’s Shield Wall
    • High Warlord’s Recurve
    Warlord’s Plate Headpiece
    • Warlord’s Plate Armor

    Level 70 gear
    • Onslaught Shoulderblades- Important
    • Onslaught Battle-Helm

    Mounts
    • Proto drake and or nether drake- Important
    • Amani War Bear
    • Reins of the Raven Lord
    • Red skeletal war horse
    • Whistle of the Black War Raptor- important

    Level 80 gear
    • At least tier 7 or 8
    • Armageddon- important

note already have a level 62 warrior, and i never bought and account yet, Quiet worried to buy one that someone else has had, encase they recall the account, if I did buy one would FSF be able to power level it from level 80 to 85 once the expansion comes out

  47. snowy935on 06 Dec 2009 at 1:30 am
